I agree with Mr. Kelleher’s opinion in some points. However, it’s quite difficult to raise the engagement level by how-to type of approach. We cannot solve this problem through the simple communication on the same things so many times. Instead, the first thing we have to do is to dialogue candidly what visions and business performances the company and the managers want to accomplish in cooperation with their employees , and what kind of beliefs and wants their employees attain through executing their daily assignments. Especially, managers should set up the perpetual “venues” where both managers and their employees exchange what they expect their opponents to do.
