I’ve enjoyed the series of articles posted on this. Today, companies must first accept the challenges before them that involve “engaging” their employees. A company cannot expect to fulfill the employee’s expectations by lliving by past experiences, or believing in what they did 5-8 years ago. Things are not the same today.  There are New Rules of Engagement. Companies need to look at how they can apply these New Rules of Engagement.

Jerry – You’ve hit the proverbial nail on its proverbial head!  For a marketing guy you show an unusual insight into workplace culture.  As I’m sure you know, the old Emotional Intelligence quotient has again become a key requirement for today’s leaders.  Your post describes one aspect of why that’s true.  Thanks.
