It’s curious how Pawlenty and the House Republicans keep repeating the mantra of “cutting taxes creates jobs”. Well, between 2000 and 2007 we cut takes, and had the slowest job creation rate in decades. The ’50s and ’60s had much higher marginal tax rates than today, and a much higher level of job creation, too.

    Cheers,

    Keith

Does anyone know how many participants actually attended? I’m trying to get a sense of scale. Much appreciated!

It’s pretty hard to say for a Twitter conference (say I tweeted Pawlenty a question, but didn’t do anything else … am I an attendee?) but they estimate around 2.6 million.
