About the Author

Amy Buck is a human resources leader with more than 19 years of broad experience in the high technology industry. Her passion is staffing and fueling company growth with top talent. Currently, she is the senior director for Cisco’s newly created Staffing Innovation Organization. Buck and her team ideate, incubate, and deliver enterprise-wide staffing solutions that enable Cisco to put the right talent in the right place at the right time.

Prior to her new role in the SIO, she led staffing for the Cisco Development Organization with more than 20,000 employees worldwide. Before joining Cisco, she held various HR and talent leadership positions at KLA-Tencor, New Focus, Lam Research, and OnTrak Systems. She began her career as an account executive at both product and recruitment ad agencies. She holds a bachelors degree in Advertising from San Jose State University.

She takes full advantage of Cisco’s Flexible Work Practices and works from her home in Fiddletown, California, with her dogs at her feet and a view of her horses grazing in their pasture.
